IT First supporting local charities

GLTC Children

IT First have recently contributed to the Golden Lions Children Trust. A charity supporting local children with special needs and underprivileged families, this could only be achieved by enlisting the help of local businesses.

On Saturday the 13th of March 2010, the GLCT took a group of 64 children with special needs and underprivileged youngsters, family members and helpers to Broadfiled Stadium, Crawley to watch a game between Crawley Town FC & Ebsfleet United.

Some comments from families that attended

“Just to say a big thankyou for the lovely afternoon we had this saturday watching Crawley play, thanks to your support, We felt very spoiled and looked after and had a really great day. Many thanks to you and your team.”

"A big thank you for saturday. We all had a fantastic time and felt heavier after all the sweets, burgers and chips. Thank you once again to you all, and for including us.It really helped the boys through the weekend because of Mother's Day."

Data Centre refurbishment

IT First have recently refurbished their data centre situated at their premises in Burgess Hill in order to provide a secure and environmentally controlled area in which to host customer’s servers and applications.

As IT becomes an increasingly fundamental part to the success of most businesses we quickly realised that a day or even an hour of downtime can have significant cost impacts due to a lack of productivity and lost business. IT First now provides state of the art disaster recovery strategies, utilising our new data centre alongside the use of virtualisation products that allow us to put together many different options that can be tailored to individual requirements.

“The investment we have undertaken shows the commitment we have in providing our customers with the best option when it comes to hosting and disaster recovery”

Computers for Schools

As part of Albion's Young Seagulls Project, the club's sponsors IT First has begun installing new computers in over 50 schools across Sussex to assist learning and enable pupils to interact with the club. The computers, which have been funded by the Albion, Legal & General and club sponsors IT First, have been supplied to the 28 schools who were members of the club's schools partnership last season and the 25 new schools who have been selected this season.

The first computer was installed on Monday morning at St Wilfreds in Burgess Hill by Sussex computer specialists IT First, with assistance from Albion mascot Gully.

Young Seagulls co-ordinator Matt Hicks explained, "The computers are there to provide a continuous point of interaction between the football club and the schools, while also providing the schools with an effective teaching tool.

"It's part of our ongoing commitment to Sussex schools, which has already proved extremely popular. I'd also like to take this opportunity to thank Legal & General and IT First for their generosity in supporting this initiative."

We’re rebranding ourselves...

We’ve got a new name, a new logo and a new slogan to reflect who we are, where we’re going and what we stand for...

From July 2008 TRT will be known as IT First.

And we’re delighted to announce that we have entered into a sponsorship agreement with Brighton & Hove Albion FC - we are now the Albion’s major shirt sponsor.

We wish the Albion success for the coming season, and look forward to them coming FIRST in the league.
